Banana Pudding Pie Recipe

- 1.5 cup Nilla Wafer Crumbs
- 6 Tablespoons softened butter
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1.5 cup sugar
- ½ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 cups whole milk
- 5 egg yokes, beaten
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 5 bananas, sliced
- In a food processor, blend Nilla wafers until you have 1.5 cups of wafer crumbs
- Add butter & sugar, blend until combined
- In a greased pie plate, press the crust mixture evenly along the edges and bottom to create the crust
- Chill in the fridge for 1 hour
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and milk
- Stir until well blended
- Bring to a boil and stir for 2 more minutes then remove from heat
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs
- Add ½ cup of the milk mixture into the beaten eggs, stir until well blended
- Add the eggs into the milk mixture and place back on medium heat
- Cook for 3 minutes
- Add butter and vanilla, beat until blended
- Remove from heat & cool for 10 minutes
- Cover the bottom and sides of the pie crust with banana slices
- Mix the rest of the banana slices into the pudding mixture
- Scoop into the crust and cool for 4 hours or until solidified
