Today is a day that many people have been waiting for. The next Captain America movie is out in theaters and millions will enjoy it this weekend. I’m heading out to the theater today with some co-workers, and in true crafty fashion I decided that we couldn’t go to the movie without some themed candy bags.

Captain America: Civil War – Movie Treat Bags

I decided to make both Team Captain and Team Iron Man bags so my coworkers can pick their team as we head out to the movie.

Fortunately, we have a WinCo about a mile from my house and their bulk candy was perfect for this task. My original thought was to do all Jelly Belly jellybeans as I knew that they came in multiple colors (that i I could buy individually); however, when I checked out the other options I was able to add a few gummy items as well that matched the theme.

Team Captain Candy Bag

When I wandered through the WinCo bulk bins, I discovered that they had some Red, White & Blue gummy army men as well as red, white & blue gummy bears. I knew that these would be great additions to the red and blue Jelly Belly jellybeans.

Team Iron Man Candy Bags

For the gummy portion of the Team Iron Man I used some gummy fighter jets (which were in red/yellow/orange color theme so they fit perfect) and then peach rings.

I couldn’t just leave the candy bags plain so I whipped out my Silhouette Cameo and made some print & cut stickers using the Iron Man and Captain America logo. I hope my coworkers enjoy their candy bags!
