A couple weeks ago I headed out to happy hour with some friends. We got some cocktails, and a couple appetizers to share while we caught up on life. On the menu were crispy cheese curds which were absolutely delicious. These crispy cheese curds were so amazing, they tasted like the inside of mozzarella sticks, without any of the breading.
When I got home, I was still thinking about those crispy cheese curds and trying to figure out how they were made without simply becoming a pile of melted cheese.
Over the next few days, I tried to make them myself utilizing different pan temperatures, and both with and without oil in the pan. I was so excited when I achieved the same texture as the original crispy cheese curds that we had enjoyed over happy hour.
I look forward to making these for a dinner with friends or party. They are best enjoyed when they are fresh out of the pan; however, the final cheese curd that we enjoyed at happy hour was still quite tasty.
These crispy cheese curds are a delicious appetizer for a party or dinner party. These are still tasty after they have cooled, but for best results, enjoy while still warm.Crispy Cheese Curds
