If you’ve been anywhere on social media the past couple months, you’ve probably seen the famous Dalgona Coffee. Of course, I had to try out this whipped shot of caffeine, but I wanted to try it with a twist. Today we’re taking Dalgona Coffee into the evening with a spiked orange mocha version.
Spiked Orange Mocha Dalgona Coffee
As I was getting ready to take the pictures of this cocktail, I realized that two air bubbles had formed a little smile in the whipped portion. Even as I was writing this post Brad saw it and asked if I had put something on the drink to make the face. I told him that it was a happy accident, but I didn’t want to mess it up because it was a cute little smile.
I drink mochas pretty often, and have even made my own chocolate syrup during quarantine because I ran out of sauce but had cocoa powder in the pantry. While this version of Dalgona coffee wouldn’t be appropriate for my morning coffee, it would be a great evening beverage to enjoy out on the deck. If you’re sensitive to caffeine, you might want to make it with decaf.
Take Dalgona Coffee to the evening with this spiked twist! The delicious orange and chocolate combination is a perfect way to relax in the evening. I used a Kitchen Aid mixer with the whip attachment; however you could also use a handheld mixer. Whisking by hand or using a milk frother is another option, but would be a lot more work.Dalgona Coffee - Spiked Orange Mocha
