I am terrible at carving pumpkins, they look like a 5-year old did them so I just avoid the whole scene. This year I decided that I wanted to decorate some pumpkins so I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo and got to work.
I wanted these pumpkins to be used year after year so I bought some foam pumpkins in different sizes. In addition to Halloween I thought it would be fun to celebrate another fall feature – Husky Football! Tomorrow the UW is going to be hosting Game Day for the first time and we’re getting up at 2 AM to get our spots. Ask my about 10 AM when Game Day is over whether or not I regret the lack of sleep decision.
Creating these pumpkins are easy – just cut out vinyl and place on the pumpkin. If you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo then you could get some Halloween stickers from Target or the Dollar Store.
The first pumpkin I made was the UW Husky Logo. This is a pumpkin that I can pull out in early fall and it can last through Thanksgiving. It will be nice to have a decor piece that can stay outside for that long.
On the second pumpkin I went a bit Halloween-y and put “Boo” on it. I never have really decorated for Halloween other than a sugar pumpkin or two on my doorstep but I can definitely use these again next year.
Do you decorate for Halloween? What sort of items do you put out?

Oh yeah. I love decorating for Halloween. Our front yard is a graveyard in the making and I love all the owls, crows and bats. Not to mention the spiders and witches!! We have punkins on our doorstep as well.
