St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner which means one thing – green food everything! I’m sharing a festive green drink with you today that is easy to make and fun to enjoy.
This Adult Shamrock float would be great for a party as well – It could be made in a big punch bowl and give each person their own mason jar for the evening. Add a fun paper straw and you are set (although you will probably need lots of paper straws, I have learned they really only last through one or two drinks).
A Delicious Shamrock Float
A Delicious Shamrock Float
This Shamrock Float is a perfectly fun way to enjoy St Patrick's Day!
Author: Kendra
Recipe type: Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 oz Vodka
- 10 oz Sprite
- Lime Sherbet
Instructions
- I started with a green heritage pint mason jar to continue with the St Patrick's Day theme. Amazon actually has a pretty good price on them right now (and free shipping with prime).
- Pour 2 oz of your favorite vodka into the mason jar (hint: there are oz line markings on the side of the jar). Add 10 oz of Sprite. Slowly top with lime sherbet. It will foam up as the sherbet is added so add it bit by bit. Serve with a fun paper straw.
Brad told me that I should have added a maraschino cherry (of course this was after I had finished taking photos and drinking them).
For a kid-friendly version, simply omit the vodka.
How are you going to be celebrating this St Patrick’s Day?
