I recently got the chance to try out a few delicious wines from Deutsch Family. They are the parent company for lots of brands you probably recognize – such as yellow tail and eppa sangria. Check out my thoughts on these delicious wines below.

Girard Chardonnay

I absolutely loved this chardonnay. It was the perfect wine to enjoy as the weather started to heat up and we had grilled chicken for the first time of the season. Aromatics include black cherry, coffee beans, bacon and vanilla. I think this is the first time I read bacon in notes about a wine! This is definitely a wine that I would purchase to enjoy again.

Josh Cabernet

I’m not normally a red wine person, but this Cabernet Sauvignon was delicious. It’s rich flavor would be perfect to pair with a steak fresh off the grill or some chocolate cake for dessert.

eppa Sangria

 

I was first introduced to eppa sangria last summer. I love pre-made sangria because it is great for parties. If you want to make it look a bit fancier, simply pour into a pitcher and add some fruit such as orange and lemon slices. Eppa sangria also comes in a white variety that is just as delicious.

Barone Fini Pino Grigio

I am definitely a fan of this Pinot Grigio. The flavors include apple and lychee. Brad and I enjoyed this wine with grilled chicken (we grill chicken a lot in the spring and summer). It had a nice light flavor and paired wonderfully with the chicken. It could also go with fish, cheese and crackers, or a hearty salad.
