A few weeks ago, I showed off my crib and gave a peek at the custom crib sheets I made. These are so fun and it is definitely a great way to show off the room’s theme with a little bit of work. Each sheet took less than an hour to make. I made a few of these last year for Renee’s nursery so I knew that I wanted to make some custom ones for my nursery as well.
DIY Crib Sheet
Materials:
- 2 yards fabric
- 80″ 1/4 inch elastic
Step 1:
Wash the fabric, then cut into a rectangle 67″ by 45″. Cut an 8″ square out of every corner. My fabric shrunk more than I expected in the wash so I had to sew on some fabric to the width so that it would be 45″ wide.
Step 2
Fold Edges A & B together with right sides together.
Step 3
Sew a 1 inch casing all the way around the outside of the sheet. Leave a 3″ opening to thread the elastic.
Step 4
Thread the elastic into the casing, sew the ends of the elastic together then sew the opening of the casing closed. Put onto the crib and enjoy!
Since I have a travel themed nursery, I chose The Big Apple Grey/Red, The Big Apple Multi, and Beach Scenic Sand for my fabric. I might make a few more if I can find perfect fabric (I’ve heard these kids are messy and I might want more sheets) ;)
We are getting so close to being in the pool (I’m crossing my fingers that it will happen by the end of the week) so that means that we could become parents any day!

It looks fabulous and pretty easy! I don’t sew but I feel like I could do this! Very cute

Great tutorial. If I had known it was this easy, I would’ve made my own.

You are so crafty and talented! :) Even with how easy you make it sound, I am sure I would still screw it up, lol. But these are fantastic!

Love your fabric choice. I made one once but your tutorial makes it look way easier.
