I have a love-hate relationship with my hair. I love the color and how fast it dries; however, I am not a fan of how frizzy it is. Ever since I joined pinterest I have wanted to try out the hair masks to see if they could help my hair.
The recipe that I ended up using is as follows:
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1 teaspoon honey
The directions said to mix all of the above items until they form a paste. I mixed and mixed and mixed some more but it never formed a paste so I applied it with the “french toast” method. I dipped my hair section by section into the mixture then squeezed the excess off. The mixture is supposed to sit on your hair until dry then shampooed out. I figured it would take a while to dry so I wrapped my hair up in a towel and settled in to watch some TV. The mixture stayed in my hair for about 2 hours then I took a quick shower to wash it out right before bed.
As you can see in the photos below, I had a hard time taking myself seriously while testing this.
The verdict is: Plausible (I’m channeling my inner Mythbuster while writing this). I might have noticed a bit less frizz, but it could have also been due to the fact I took care in actually blow drying my hair afterwards. I can see how the ingredients of this could add moisture to my hair, and if it was more damaged before I might have seen a bigger change.
It definitely didn’t hurt my hair; yet I’m not sure how much it helped it either.
Have a great weekend!

I might have to try this, but I have no idea why the original directions would say paste. There’s no way that mixture will make a paste.
