The past few years I have re-discovered how much I enjoy wearing dresses. I especially love flow-y sun-dresses, but I have started trying out more professional dresses as well.  This dress is a great change to my other business casual outfits and a fun way to incorporate more dresses into my work wardrobe. I immediately fell in love with this dress when I saw it on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I was a little concerned the first time I put the dress on, because I couldn’t believe how tight it was in the neck. I could barely get the dress over my head. Then I discovered the zipper. *face palm*

Unfortunately this exact dress has sold out; however, there is a similar one available! I really love the 1901 brand of dresses, they are super comfortable and they have a bunch of great dresses for work wear.

I also love how TOMS have increased their lineup of shoes. These tan booties have the perfect pop of color. I’ve worn them a few times with different dresses and they are a great shoe for fall. They are also super comfortable and I was able to walk around in them all day without my feet getting tired.

While I normally have a more neutral purse, sometimes it is fun to have a pop of color in the outfit. This red purse is perfect and works great for the business casual aspects of the outfit. One thing that is nice is that it can be either a handbag, or cross-body. Sometimes it is nice to have my hands free while walking around. I highly recommend Fashionphile for purses; they have so many great purses, wallets, and other designer items.

This outfit wouldn’t be complete without my favorite Kate Spade watch. I can keep my phone in my purse while I go about my day and see notifications as they come in. A quick glance and I can tell if it is something that I can swipe away to look at later, or if I need to open up my phone or laptop to reply.

This dress works great year round. During the summer, I wore it with a pair of wedges; and then as the weather transitioned to fall I added some tights and switched the wedge sandals for these booties.
