I have absolutely no skill when it comes to curling my hair. A few times a year I decide to attempt it again (generally about an hour before I have to leave for an event) and then end up having to pull out my straightener and fix the disaster that is my hair. When I was offered the chance to try out the Kiss InstaWave I was intrigued and thought that maybe this could be the answer to my curling problems.
I turned it on, grabbed a piece of hair and started spinning. It did take a few pieces of trial-and-error to figure out where to start spinning along the length of my hair. It was easy to re-do a section that didn’t turn out just right as well. Even when the prongs started picking up other pieces of hair; I never felt like it would get tangled nor did I feel it tugging on my head.
The InstaWave offers low and high heat. This high heat setting is 420 degrees, I used that one because my hair generally doesn’t like to hold curl so I wanted to really set it in there. So far so good on keeping the curl in. Different styles of curls can be achieved by leaving the hair on the InstaWave for varying amounts of time.
I still need a bit of practice, especially in the back, but I think that this could actually be the hair curling solution that works for me.For a first time, it turned out pretty good! Want to get one for yourself? Kiss InstaWave are available at Amazon, Target and Ulta.
I was provided with a Kiss InstaWave for review. All opinions are my own.
