I’ve seen lots of Pinterest projects about converting a mason jar lid into a soap dispenser. I had avoided completing this project because it looked like something that looked simple but that I would somehow figure out how to mess up. I was at JoAnn Fabric the other day and discovered that they had a soap dispenser lid insert!
With mason jars all over home decor right now; it would make a great Christmas gift and is the next installment of A DIY Christmas!
DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser
The Transform Mason soap dispenser lid is all you need in addition to a mason jar!
The straw was long enough for a quart jar; however, it took A LOT of soap to fill it up (fortunately I found a Gallon container of Dial in the laundry room that I think we’ve had since we were married).
The straw could easily be cut to fit pint or half pint jars – just make sure that they are the regular mouth top.
In addition to adding a pump to the mason jar – why not personalize it? Distress it with some Chalk Paint or use some shape tape for an easy chevron.
How would you add a special touch to this project? Do you have an idea of who you could give it to?
