Thanks to HomeRight for sending the SteamMachine Plus to try out and for the giveaway. As always, all opinions and experiences are my own.
I never realized how much I needed a steam cleaner until I got one. I initially wanted a steam cleaner to remove wrinkles from my living room curtains (because seriously, who wants to iron curtains?). Once I saw all of the steam cleaner attachments that came with the HomeRight SteamMachine Plus I was a steam cleaning master and started attacking dirt all over the house.
Reasons You Need A Steam Cleaner
Steam Cleaners work by using extra hot steam (205 degrees) to loosen dirt and kill germs. The HomeRight SteamMachine Plus offers a dial so that the amount of steam can be adjusted. I went all out on many of my projects and had it emit the maximum amount of steam. I especially wanted to do this when I was cleaning the grout as it had quite a bit of dirt build-up.
The SteamMachine Plus comes with a multitude of attachments which means that you can use it to clean many different surfaces. When the steamer is removed from the upright attachment, all of these little attachments can be used for cleaning things like grout, windows, counters, and mattresses.
The grout by our fireplace has been mostly ignored since we moved in 7 years ago. I could see it getting dirtier but didn’t know what to do. I turned the steamer up to full strength and started going at it. After just a few minutes it is already starting to look a lot better than it did.
I’m wondering why I didn’t try out a steam cleaner earlier in life, it makes cleaning so much easier because the one tool can be used to clean items in every room of the house. Some different uses for a steam cleaner include:
- Releasing Wrinkles
- Cleaning Grout
- Sanitize Floors
- Shine Fixtures
- Clean Windows
- Dissolve Dried Substances (such as gum)
- Sanitize Mattresses
- Clean Oven Windows
- Scrub off BBQ grime
- Loosen dirt in hard to reach nooks and crannies
Now you have a chance to be a Steam Cleaner master yourself! Enter the giveaway below and start thinking about all the dirt that you can remove!

I would clean the grout in my bathrooms first. I usually get a toothbrush and clean it. It is really a pain doing it that way. This would be wonderful to have.

First of all, I’ve wanted a steam cleaner for a while because I think I would actually USE it on a regular basis! I think the first thing I’d do is clean our floors – especially in the kitchen and utility room and bathrooms. Pleaseeeeeeeeee pick meeeeeee!!!!

Definitely the bathroom and kitchen. I believe these two areas define the lifestyle you live, if they are inviting and spec clean, then you are on your way to living a healthy lifestyle, or so I believe….
