My weekday evenings are easily filled up with blogging and crafting for my shop so any cleaning that has to be done needs to be fast because otherwise it will keep getting put off til later. Today I’m sharing how I can use just 10 minutes of my precious evening to make a big difference.
Windows are one item that you can’t get away with being “kinda dirty”, either they look terrible or they looks sparkling clean. Pip and Princess love staring out the front window; however, this creates quite a bit of nose art on the window.
Windex® is the perfect solution for quickly cleaning up this nose art and leaving my windows sparkling in just a few minutes. With the holidays coming up my weekends are going to get even busier and I will have less time to do things around the house.
I headed down to Fred Meyer and picked up some Windex®, along with Pledge® Multisurface and Polishing Spray so that I have a few items that I can simply grab and go for cleaning the house.
To get the most out of a 10 minute clean, focus where you can get the most biggest change for your time. In my house, I would focus on the front window and the slider; plus wiping down the kitchen counters and the kitchen table.
Using Windex® and a microfiber cloth, I am able to easily remove Pip & Princess’ nose art and have some sparkling clean windows. Just a minute or two per window and I’m done! Now to just train them not to leave the nose art in the first place (unfortunately they don’t see what the issue is).
I love how the Pledge® Multisurface can be used all over the house. It can be used throughout my cleaning – from counters to electronics! One can and a cloth is all you need to clean a multitude of surfaces. This is definitely a must when it comes to quick cleaning.
Brad and I have many wood surfaces in our house. My dad has built a couple bookcases, a mantle and media center for us over the years and all of these can easily get dusty. I like using the Polishing Spray on these surfaces every once in a while to remove the dust and let the wood shine. It doesn’t take long to wipe down each surface but has a big impact.
My 10 Minute Clean Breakdown:
- Front Window & Slider – 3 Minutes
- Wipe Down Kitchen Counters & Table – 4 Minutes
- Polish one of the Wooden Furniture Items (Alternate through the different ones) – 3 Minutes

Puppers!!! And that is so funny because they DO leave their little nose prints everywhere and especially on windows. Gotta love Windex!!
