Last week, I was invited to attend an Events & Adventures event that was featuring the Windows Phones and their amazing cameras. The workshop was done from We Are JUXT, which is a mobile photography blog. I was impressed to hear about these phones and cameras. Here are the details on a couple of the top of the line phones.
Nokia Lumia ICON (Verizon)
The camera on the ICON features 20 Megapixels and 1080p video. The phone also features a ZEISS lens (I didn’t know what this was, but through a quick web search I discovered that this is a big deal and amazing technology). In addition to a great camera, this phone also features a 2.2GHz quad-core processor which allows for fast processing on the images.
Nokia Lumia 1020 (AT&T)
The camera on the 1020 is a whopping 41 Megapixels! It also includes the 1080p video and ZEISS lens. The 1020 also has a camera grip that can be added, this allows the user to hold the phone like a normal camera and features a shutter release on the top. These 41 Megapixels allow for intense zoom. The video can be zoomed in by 6x without any loss of quality and individual photos can be cropped to create new photos.
These are just a couple of the phone options. Learn more about these and other phones over on the Window’s Phone site.
I do love my Samsung Galaxy; however, these phones will definitely be contenders when I am looking for my next phone.
Thanks to Microsoft and Windows Phone for the opportunity to attend this workshop and learn about these phones.
