Chili is a popular dinner of ours during the fall and winter months. When the days are dark I don’t feel like making dinner when I get home so the crock pot is necessary if we want to eat something besides nachos. This chili is perfect because it can be thrown together and it is forgiving. If I don’t have one ingredient I can easily substitute it for something else and it will still taste good; if you like more of one ingredient then add more of it and the chili will still taste amazing. One thing I definitely recommend is to use crockpot liners because it makes cleanup so much easier.
However You Want It Chili
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground meat (turkey, beef, etc)
- 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
- 3 cans beans (any type you want; I’ll use a combination of black, pinto or kidney)
- 1 can corn (I’ve even been known to use a corn/pea mixed can)
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tablespoon Onion Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
Directions:
- Brown the meat
- Drain the cans of beans and corn
- Add all the ingredients into the crockpot
- Stir it all up
- Cook on low for 12 hours

Can I make this with chicken & cream cheese?

I don’t see why not. I’ve never heard of cream cheese in a chili, what does it do in the recipe?
