This past weekend, some friends and I threw the ultimate Pink and Gold Baby Shower; it was SOOO much fun and I knew that I had to share all the amazingness with you! Make sure to scroll to the bottom for links to the supplies.
When Brittnee and I found out that our friend Michelle was having a baby, we immediately started planning this shower; and when we found out that it was a girl, we immediately knew our color theme – Pink & Gold. I originally met Brittnee & Michelle through Michelle’s husband (we worked together and even carpooled for a few years), so we decided that a coed baby shower was fitting since we often hang out as couples.
Pink and Gold Baby Shower Theme
For food, we went simple – Taco Bar with some sides infused water, and punch. We also love our cupcakes so we opted for some mini-cupcakes from Pinkabella for dessert.
We got our pink and gold baby shower invitations from Minted. I love that they have real gold foil on the invitations, it added an extra bit of elegance to the party.
These columns were the perfect spot to hang our “shower” decor. We attached the umbrella to the columns using command hooks and then attached the tissue paper balls and heart garland from the inside of the umbrella. Under the umbrella, we had the party favors – personalized cookies, and chocolate caramel popcorn.
Baby Shower Games & Activities
I’m normally not a fan of baby shower games, but we actually had some really fun ones for this baby shower. Surprisingly, Brad and I were pretty good at the games and came home with 3 different prizes!
Our first game was the “Daddy Beer Chug” (check out the video on my Facebook page). It is surprisingly difficult to drink out of a baby bottle (even with the fast speed nipples) so we only put 2 ounces in each bottle.
We also had a couple of “activity stations”. The first one was “Diaper Thoughts” where guests wrote encouraging (or funny) comments on diapers for those 3 am changes. It was fun to read through them at the end of the party and see what people put on them.
Our second activity station was to make headbands. Brittnee picked up some kits off Etsy and pre-glued the Fold-Over Elastic to the proper size so that guests simply had to decorate the headbands. I forgot to take a picture of some finished headbands, but even the guys got into this and made some great ones.
Throughout the party, guests were able to fill out their guesses as to how many m&ms were in this giant baby bottle. The person closest got to take all of them home.
We had a couple of other games as well (but they didn’t photograph well). The first was a Pacifier Spitting Distance contest. We had 10 pacifiers and people took turns seeing how far they could spit them down the hall (we did wash them between participants since we had more than 10 people participate). Brad was impressive and managed to get his about 20 feet down the hall!
The sock matching game was a great game for a smaller group of participants. We had about 30 pairs of baby socks strewn on a table and the person who was able to make the most matches won.
The final game was a candy memory game. Caitlyn made a poster board which featured 10 different “pairs” of cards. People went around the room looking for matches and if they found a match they got a candy bar which coordinated to that theme. Some of these included Lifesavers for Epidural and Butterfingers for Delivery Room Doctors. You can check out this post for a list of candy ideas.
This Instagram Photo Prop was a fun addition to the afternoon as well. I bought an editable PDF off of Etsy and then printed it as a photo at Costco. I then glued it onto foam board and cut the hole out where the “photo” is supposed to go.

What a fun baby shower, Kendra! I love the beer chug idea… Crazy! :) Happily pinned several photographs to my Pour Bébé and Holidays boards {for lack of a Party board, though that may change}. :) Just stopping over from Life and Linda and the Dishing It and Digging It link party this time.
Have a great week,

I love this color combination! My daughter hosted a bridal shower with these colors a few years ago and it was so pretty. Thanks for sharing it with SYC. I’m sure it’s not intentional, but I’m not seeing a link back to the party.
