By the time we hit the weekend, Brad & I are ready for some relaxation. Many times, our Friday nights include heading out to dinner and then coming home to watch some TV before bed (really, we’re that exciting). While I’m currently on the job hunt, our Friday nights are changing just a bit; instead of heading out to dinner we are having date night at home with Dinner & A Movie.
When I think of watching a movie at home, the food that comes to mind are finger foods which can be munched on throughout the evening. Items like meatballs, pigs in a blanket, or kebabs are perfect to enjoy while watching your favorite movie. I love how easy they are to make, and can be munched on over the course of the entire movie. Of course, movie night isn’t complete without Popcorn on the menu (how fun is this popcorn maker from Wayfair)!
While Brad and I were dating and early in our marriage, we acquired quite a few DVDs. We would often go to the local movie store and look through their discount bins to pick up a few movies. One of our favorites to always watch was 2 Fast 2 Furious. Many of the DVDs have been purged from our collection as we needed more space; however, this one has remained because it is one that we can always enjoy watching.
In addition to food, drinks, and a movie, don’t forget about some decor items to make the evening extra comfy – this Sherpa Throw Blanket looks PERFECT for curling up under and some TV trays make eating dinner at the couch easier.
