This year, I woke up to a White Christmas! It started snowing about mid afternoon on Christmas Eve, just as we were getting ready to head up to church for Christmas Eve rehearsal. Throughout the evening, I looked at the radar and thought for sure that “this was it”, yet the snow kept falling. When we went to bed Christmas Eve, the snow had stopped, and the temperature was hovering right at freezing with 1″ on the ground.
Our alarm went off nice and early Christmas morning (yeah, we had to set an alarm because we had a full day planned). Brad looked at the security cameras and noticed that our footprints from the night before had been covered with more snow overnight. The temperatures hovered right below freezing, and the snow continued throughout the morning.
The snow will soon be gone (after a couple more days of freezing nights and icy roads in the mornings). We have now officially had the snowiest Christmas Eve/Christmas Day combo on record. We probably got around 4″ at our house!
This snow was the perfect backdrop for my parents gorgeous covered porch; although it was a bit chilly to sit out there for long (even with the fire on).
This weather is the perfect time to pull out some ClimateRight by Cuddl Duds Warm Baselayers. I picked up a long sleeve top and some leggings that are super comfy for lounging around the house; and when I need to go outside in the elements they help keep me warm as a baselayer under other clothes. I love how soft and lightweight they are. The animals definitely thought that they were comfy to lay on as well.
If you are looking to get some ClimateRight by Cuddl Duds Baselayers for yourself; you can pick them up at Walmart near intimates.
It was so fun to have a little bit of Christmas magic in the form of snow this year. It is definitely something we won’t forget!
