If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I love to travel. I am always thinking of our next trip and have a travel bucket list a mile long. It is definitely important to stay hydrated on flights – especially those long cross-country or international ones. I have a few favorite items for my flights and I’m sharing them with you below.
My Carry-On Essentials
- Camera
- E-Reader (I used to take books but an e-reader is so much more convenient)
- Travel Pillow
- MP3 Player
- Waterbottle
- DripDrop Hydration Powder
These items help pass the time on the flight, but also keep me ready to start exploring the second I get off the plane. I don’t sit still well and my vacation are full of exploring from the very beginning.
I’m starting to think about our travels for this year. I’m dreaming of the Caribbean where all I have to think about is whether I spend the day at the swimming in the pool or the snorkeling at the beach.
DripDrop Hydration Powder helps hydrate the body 34% better than water alone. In addition to water, DripDrop helps the body replace electrolytes (without the added sugar and calories of sports drinks). DripDrip has been approved for use for those over the age of 1 and can be used to re-hydrate bodies in a wide variety of scenarios.
DripDrop comes in two different flavors – lemon and berry. Simply mix 1 packet with 8oz of water and then enjoy. It can be found in the baby aisle of your local CVS store so it can easily be picked up while picking up some other travel essentials – snacks (my preferred vacation junk food is gummy worms). There is also a $1 off coupon you can print (through 2/21/15 or while supplies last).
Where are you dreaming of vacationing this year? Make sure that DripDrop is in your carry-on bag!

Great list! I need to check out this hydration powder, I’ve been hearing a lot about it lately. Sadly, we don’t have any vacation plans set in stone right now, but I’m hoping for anywhere with sunshine!

These are the most perfect carry-on essentials! I’d probably bring my iPad, too!

My carry on is always packed full of my electronics because I don’t trust the baggage handlers to be gentle with them under the plane! I only ever take long haul flights, so drinking a ton of water and staying hydrated on the plane is a HUGE deal for me, otherwise by the time I get where I’m going I feel like the moisture has just been completely sucked out of me!
