Today I have the last of my posts about our trip to Disney earlier this month. When we started planning our trip, we had the idea to have coordinating shirts. Brittnee and I spent quite a bit of time on Pinterest and Etsy determining exactly what we wanted. In the end, we had designated shirts for 5 days (which actually helped in packing).
Monday (Hollywood Studios)
The Seahawks were playing Monday Night Football so we wanted to do something both Disney and Seahawks inspired. I had custom heat transfer vinyl made from Breeze Print Company on Etsy. After some user error it worked great. I provided the exact CYMK colors that the Seahawks use and they were able to print it for me. I used the same Mickey/Minnie head that was used for the Disney Water bottles with glitter heat transfer vinyl for the bow. Side note: I really like the Cricut brand glitter heat transfer vinyl, it weeds well and attaches easily.
Tuesday (Magic Kingdom)
Brittnee bought a couple shirts at the Disney Store, the boys wore theirs on Tuesday while Brittnee, Aubree and I had some fun personalized ones. I bought some black/white chevron heat transfer vinyl along with the the Seahawks vinyl and put Brittnee and my monogram inside a Minnie Head. I probably should have used either a different color shirt or a different color combo on the vinyl because it was hard to read our monogram with all the black.
Wednesday (Universal Studios and Harry Potter)
We couldn’t find shirts that we really liked that looked easy to make so our shirts were bought off Etsy (Brittnee & Kendra’s) (Aubree’s). The boys’ shirts are from Target.
Thursday (Epcot)
Brittnee and I wore Minnie Mouse shirts that she had bought from the Disney Store. We picked up Brad & Michael’s Millennium Falcon shirt from Target.
Friday (Magic Kingdom)
One of the first shirts we found on Pinterest was “LOVE” where the “O” was a Minnie Head. The L, V, and E were done in Teal Glitter, the head was black with a teal bow. The boys had a Star Wars Death Star Mickey Head, they were from Etsy (but I can’t find them on there now).
The boys thought we were pretty much crazy wanting to do the matching shirts, but they were fun and made sure that we all went together in our group photos.
Do you wear matching shirts on a family vacation?
