Ok, admit that not everybody in your traveling party is on board for matching tees for your upcoming Disney vacation. On our past few vacations to Disneyland, Brad has had coordinating, but not matching, tees for Emmett and me.
When we were planning our trip to Disneyland with Kevin & Renee, we started looking for DIY tee inspiration. The boys ended up with tees announcing their surprise trip, Renee and I did a tee about traveling to Disney with friends, and then Kevin & Brad had these tees that referenced being against matching tees.
The funny thing is that Kevin really was for matching tees, so instead of “No Dad Ever”, I almost did “One Dad Ever” on Brad’s and “Me, I’m the One Dad” on Kevin’s. But in the sake of simplicity, I kept the tees the same for both Brad and Kevin.
We really only did coordinating outfits between the 7 of us for the first day of the trip. For the rest of the trip, Brad, Emmett and I coordinated based on a certain character or movie.
I wanted the shirts to have a nod to Disney without outright saying Disney so I used a font that resembles Star Wars.
My favorite tees for crafting are Bella + Canvas. They are super soft and hold up well. One word of caution is that the women’s sizing is TINY so it is easiest to use the unisex tees.
Since I didn’t actually have my craft area set up when we were getting ready for this trip, I set up the heat press outside on the ground because it was an easy spot to get an outlet. A few minutes later, all 7 tees were ready for our magical vacation.
If you’re headed to Disneyland or Walt Disney World and want to make this tee yourself, make sure to grab the cut file (in Studio and SVG) below. Please note it is for personal use only.
