Do you know a kid who loves finding the details and searching for little things? Today’s A DIY Christmas post is perfect for this kid.
DIY Find It Toy
I started with a Quart Size Wide Mouth mason jar; if you want a plastic container, the OXO Pop-Up Containers would work (just probably want to tape the lid on so that it doesn’t unintentionally open).
Inside the container, put little trinkets like a die, Monopoly pieces, Legos, a rubberband, beads, buttons, a candle, or other small toys. Fill the rest of the container with rice (but make sure there is still room for the toys and rice to move around. Thrift stores and dollar stores are great for finding the small trinkets to include in this gift.
Print a little card with every item in there for the kid to find. Shake it back up and it is a whole new game! The mason jar also makes it easy to swap out the trinkets.
