Do you love Harry Potter? I’ve talked with a few different people recently about the Hogwarts Diploma that I made last year and figured other people might be interested in making their own Hogwarts diploma so I’ve made a tutorial! When making the original Hogwarts diploma I combined a few different tutorials to make exactly what I wanted.

Fonts Needed (other than the ones pre-loaded by Microsoft):

All images are from the Harry Potter Wiki (Make sure to get ones with transparent backgrounds)

• Dumbledore Signature
• Minerva McGonagall Signature
• Ministry of Magic Seal
• Kingsley Shacklebolt signature is created with JaneAusten font

For the background Hogwarts Crest, both the brightness and contrast were lowered to 50% in order to give it the faded watermark look. The text for the main part of the diploma is:

Having honorably fulfilled all requirements in the study of Ancient Runes, Arthmancy, Care of Magincal Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Dubination, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration for this degree together with all the rights, privileges and honors pertaining thereto. In testimony where the Authorized Officers have hereto subscribed their name and affixed the seal of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Ministry for Magic of the British Isles, this eighth day of June, 2008.

Note that the date at the very end needs to be adjusted to the date that you would like.

I printed mine onto Ivory resume paper. It gives the document an official appearance. If you don’t have this paper, you can also add a textbox that covers the entire document and set the background to a parchment look. Send this textbox to the back so that it will then become the background.
