This project is one of the simplest that I have shared during A Crafty Month. I’m always thinking of new baby gifts so when I saw some suspender clips at my local JoAnn’s I had the perfect gift idea – Pacifier Clips.
DIY Pacifier Clip
This project can be created in less than 5 minutes and only requires a few items.
First, pick your ribbon. Most of the suspender clips have a 1″ opening so pick a ribbon in the 3/4″-1″ width range. There are a ton of fun options at your local craft store. Doing a quick Amazon search, I found some great options for the clips such as these teddy bears or multi-colored ones.
I cut my ribbon approximately 12″ long then looped it through the clip loop leaving about 3/4″ overlap. Sew back and forth about 6 times to give it a good connection.
On the other end, I used KAM snaps (and KAM snap pliers) to attach some snaps leaving about 2 inches between the snaps. This will create the loop to connect the pacifier.
Finally, seal the ends to prevent fraying. My preferred method is to hold the edge of the ribbon near a flame to melt it. Fray check can also be used.
Do you make baby gifts? What are your favorite gifts to make?

That’s a really cool idea for not losing pacifiers!
