In just a couple weeks College football will crown a new champion for the year and Dr Pepper wants to be there with you to celebrate. Brad and I will be hanging out with some friends for the big game so I decided to make some delicious treats for us to enjoy.
Dr Pepper Football Jell-o Shots
- 1 – 6oz box of Cherry Jell-o
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup Dr Pepper (use whichever version you like – Original, Diet, TEN)
- 10 oz Armareto
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 4 oz Cold Water
In a glass mixing bowl add the boiling water into the cherry jell-o. Whisk together until all of the jell-o has dissolved.
Add in the remaining ingredients.
Pour the mixture into small containers. I used a turkey baster and it worked really well.
Let the Jell-o harden in the fridge for about 4 hours and then use frosting to draw football laces.
Since we will have some kids at the party I also made a kid friendly version.
- 2 boxes – 6oz Cherry Jell-o
- 2.5 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup Dr Pepper
Carefully whisk the boiling water into the Jell-o until all of it has dissolved.
Add in the Dr Pepper and pour into a 9×13 Glass dish.
Allow it to harden in the fridge for about 4 hours and then use football themed cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes. You might need to put the bottom of the pan in some hot water to help the cut pieces come out.
Do you plan on watching the College Football Championship game? What sort of special things would you do with Dr Pepper to celebrate the game?
