In just a few weeks, one of my best friends is getting married! A couple weeks ago her other bridesmaids and I put on a garden tea party bridal shower, and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. We hosted the shower at Meg’s mom’s house; throughout high school this house was a second home to our group of friends and we have so many wonderful memories here.
Since this was a tea party, we served plenty of tea; but we also had a beverage center set up in the kitchen with lemonade, sun tea, and strawberry-mint spa water. I’ve used this infuser water dispenser for multiple parties and love it. I picked some fresh strawberries and mint from our garden in the morning and let it infuse for a couple hours before the party started.
We had a variety of tea flavors and festive tea cups for everybody who wanted to participate in the tea party. It was also the perfect spot for the banner that one of the bridesmaids made.
Since Meg has a gluten intolerance, all of the food we served was gluten free. Her sister picked up the delicious sweets from a local bakery, and we also made tea sandwiches featuring cucumber with cream cheese and egg salad. Meg’s mom’s gorgeous epergne has been the centerpiece for many bridal and baby showers in our group of friends.
The flowers for the party were a combination of arrangements from Meg’s mom’s fantastic garden, and some that her sister picked up at Pike Place Market that morning.
In one of the trees outside, we put some large tissue paper flowers to serve as a photo prop backdrop. From a distance, it looked as though this tree was blooming large, bright flowers.
The invitations for this shower were provided by Minted and were absolutely perfect. We knew that they were the perfect invites as we were scrolling through all the options and they gave the feel of the garden tea party right away. Minted has so many awesome invitations for a variety of occasions, make sure you check them out!
I hope you enjoyed this peak into our garden tea party bridal shower and that it gave you some inspiration if you are planning a bridal shower as well.

My friend’s shower had the same theme (minus the gorgeous invites; she’d be so jealous!) and it was such a nice time. So pretty and relaxed.

That looks so elegant and tasty. I threw a tea party for my sisters bridal shower years ago too.
