How often do you thank your friends just for being them? Extra Gum is encouraging you to thank special people in your life this Thanksgiving season.

I put together a few “thanks for being you” boxes to ship off to a couple friends who live far away. I don’t get to see them often, but I am still thankful for their friendship. I used Extra Gum as the base for the box and then added a few special items that I knew each person would love.

There are so many great Extra flavors that I couldn’t pick just one so each box got a couple different options.

I added some hairties into the box – the fold over elastic ones are my favorite but I also discovered these braided ones that are fun to use every once in a while.

Some other goodies in this box include lip balm and some fun paper flowers on clothespins.

The final item that is necessary for this box is a Thank You note. It doesn’t need to be elaborate, but just a quick “thanks for being a great friend” type note.

These boxes could be further personalized such as the recipients favorite color in the hair ties or paper flowers. Other ideas to put in the box include nail polish, fun pens, washi tape or a small gift card to their favorite store or coffee shop.
