Last year, I started making a list of all the traditions I wanted to start from Emmett’s first Christmas. It included things such as visiting Santa, pictures with the tree, and of course matching family pajamas.
Since we are now only a couple months away from Christmas, I started hunting down family pajamas for this year.
Where to Buy Matching Family Pajamas for the Holidays
Last year, our matching family pajamas were from Target and I somewhat happened across them during one of those “sipping a Starbucks and wandering the store” trips. I remember I was headed to the checkout when I discovered that they had just put out the racks of holiday family pajamas.
Pretty soon I had about 5 different sets of pajamas in my cart, and realized I was being a bit excessive. I narrowed all of these down to one set of matching pajamas, and a couple extras for Mr. Emmett.
In the past year, I have discovered how much I absolutely LOVE Hanna Andersson clothes for Emmett. They are soft, colorful, and last through messy food stains and lots of washes. Emmett has spent lots of nights (and let’s be honest, lots of days the past few months) in his Hanna Andersson sleepers.
Hanna Andersson clothing utilizes European sizing, but they generally also have US sizes on the tags as well. They fit Emmett really well, he is a petite little boy and tends to outgrow length well before the waist so it is nice that Hanna Andersson pajamas (and clothing) tend to run on the longer side.
One of my favorite patterns this year is the Dear Deer Collection (Infant Sleeper, Adult, Button Down, Kid). I have some pajamas in a similar pattern, and Brad’s pant size wasn’t currently available, so we opted for another fun pattern (stay tuned for pictures, the pajamas I ordered are on the way).
They also have a great partnership with Disney so if you’re looking for Star Wars, Mickey Mouse, or Marvel Pajamas for your family this year, Hanna Andersson has you covered! I like how the licensed pajamas still fit into the classic holiday feel
Primary also offers great kid clothes (and adult pajamas). They focus on basics in solid colors and gender neutral patterns. I used pieces from Primary last year for Emmett’s Baby Yoda Halloween Costume. Primary hasn’t launched a holiday collection yet this year, but they do have stripes and solids in holiday colors.
I am looking forward to the holidays this year. Emmett will have more idea about what is going on and I’m sure he is going to love seeing all the house lights. Who knows what sort of community activities will be available, but we will be sure to make lots of memories at home this year.
