We’re officially in the pool! It actually happened a couple weeks ago, but this whole being out of the country thing has led to less time online to let all of you know! At this point, we could literally bring a baby home ANY DAY (but most likely it will still be a few months).

Being in the pool means that our profile is available for the potential birth moms to view. When an expectant parent comes into the office, she is given a packet of available profiles for her to look through. From this packet, she chooses a few families to look at their full book then from these books she will pick a family if she continues with adoption.

I was definitely grateful that I’ve created photo books for Brad and myself each year around our anniversary (which reminds me that I still need to do this year’s book). I knew what to expect in the formatting, plus I also have a lot of photos from our adventures.

Brad and I are continuing to get ready for bringing home a baby. We got our last vacation in as a family of two, the nursery is just about done and we’re still working on saving up the final amount needed at placement.
