A couple weeks ago one of our bedrooms got a paint upgrade so that it can become a nursery! When we bought our house, the previous owners had painted every wall white. When we moved in, I painted an accent wall in the room; but all the walls could use a refresh.
Since we wanted the room to be gender neutral, Brad and I decided to go with a grey and white paint theme. We had some grey left over from previous painting projects, but headed to the hardware store to pick out a fresh and bright white! We decided to paint 3 of the walls (and the closet) white, and then make one of the walls grey with stripes. Brad had a great idea that we’ll add the stripes once we know the gender and use that to pull some more color into the room.
HomeRight sent me a couple awesome products to help with painting the nursery – The QuickPaint Pad Edge Painter and the PaintStick EZ-Twist Paint Roller! Both of these products hold the paint in their handles which helps contain the mess and makes painting easier.
Simply suck the paint up into the handles and go!
The edger has a small plastic edge so that when you push the pad onto the wall the bristles spread out and perfectly align to the edge you are trying to paint. I’m terrible at painting along walls (when there are 2 different colors) or ceilings because I tend to get distracted and then end up with “clouds” onto the ceiling. This edger is great for me because it guides the paint into the proper location, even when I get distracted.
The Paintstick EZ-Twist is a paint roller on steroids. It holds the paint in the handle and then as you push it out, the paint comes through perforated holes directly onto the roller. Plus the roller is then on an extended stick which means you can get up towards the ceiling without needing a ladder or step-stool.
With how easy this roller made painting, I think there might be a few more rooms that I want to paint.
HomeRight is pretty awesome and they are offering a set of these two paint products for one of my readers as well! Check out the rafflecopter below for your chance to win!
Hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into our nursery! I’ll be posting more as we get more items in there.
Thanks to HomeRight for providing these two products for review and giveaway. All opinions are my own.

See, I pretty much loathe painting, but these rollers are pretty cool! They look like they make easy work of it. :) If I was finally going to break down and paint, it would be in our bedroom. The walls look awful in there from the previous tenants.
