Do you love peppermint mixed with chocolate? I love when Christmas treats start emerging because so many of them feature peppermint and chocolate. Today’s recipe is a delicious way to enjoy these two flavors – a chocolate peppermint martini!
This post is in collaboration with Smirnoff. All opinions are my own.
Chocolate Peppermint Martini
When I think of winter and Christmas flavors, one of the first things that comes to mind is Peppermint. Every once in a while I will get a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks just to think about Christmas and look forward to an upcoming holiday season (even if it is still a few months away). This Peppermint Chocolate Martini is a great *adult* way to enjoy peppermint flavor.
The chocolate and crushed peppermint rim is such a fun addition to this cocktail. Don’t be surprised if you simply sip your way around the glass so that you get a chance to enjoy all of the crushed peppermints.
The Smirnoff Peppermint Twist vodka is a great way to turn a classic chocolate martini into a delicious peppermint chocolate martini. It adds the peppermint flavor, without being too overpowering, and blends nicely with the chocolate and creamy flavors also found in this cocktail.
This peppermint chocolate martini would be a great cocktail to enjoy in the evening while watching the snow fall (we’re supposed to get some snow here in the next couple days and I can’t be more excited).
Whenever we are expected to get snow in the evening, I will constantly look out the window to see if the snow has begun to fall. Once it starts, I’m always checking the snow level on the deck and trying to determine if the rate is slowing or if we have hope for a decent amount.
- 2 ounce Smirnoff Peppermint Twist Vodka
- 1 ounce creme de cacao
- ½ ounce Chocolate Liquor
- 1 ounce cream
- Chocolate Sauce & Crushed Peppermint for garnish
- In a cocktail shaker, add ice, cream, and liquors.
- Shake, Shake, Shake
- Strain into a martini glass rimmed with chocolate and crushed peppermints.
How would you enjoy some Smirnoff Peppermint Twist vodka?

I’m not a huge fan of chocolate liquor, but the addition of peppermint might have me changing my mind. This martini looks amazing and I bet it tastes like a chocolate-dipped candy cane!
