Who is enjoying football season? Our weekends have been filled with various football watching. Of course with football comes snacking so I decided to make a delicious chip dip for us to enjoy while cheering on our favorite teams. (Go Huskies & Seahawks!)
Football Chip Dip
- 16 oz Frozen Peas - Thawed
- 16 oz Frozen Corn - Thawed
- 3 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- Juice from 1 Lime
- ⅓ Cup chopped Cilantro
- Feta cheese for garnish
- In a sauce pan, melt the butter on medium heat
- Mix in the corn, peas and garlic
- Stir until well combined
- Squeeze the lime juice into the mixture
- Add in the cilantro and stir.
- Garnish with Feta cheese
I served these chips with some Food Should Taste Good Multigrain and Guacamole chips. This combination was absolutely delicious! The Food Should Taste Good chips are a great addition to a party; plus, they come in a large variety of flavors.
This past weekend, Brad was over at Kevin & Renee’s helping them install new floors. I brought this dip and chips over there while they worked and when it came back there wasn’t much left.
There are so many ways that this recipe could be slightly adjusted based on your favorite flavors. Brad suggested adding in some tomatoes (which I’m not really a fan of so I had left them out); but if you are a tomato fan, I’d mix them in at the end with the cilantro.
Do you have a favorite snack to enjoy during football games?
I was provided with some Food Should Taste Good chips to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
