Welcome to September and Pumpkin Spice season. Last year, I made a Pumpkin Spice For Life tea towel, so this year I’ve made a coordinating towel to go along with it. Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice Tea Towel

I had some White Flour Sack Towels left over from last year which was great for this project. I like the size of these towels, and they are great for simply hanging off the front of the oven. The design is made with Orange Heat Transfer Vinyl that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. Last year, I talked about being scared of my Heat Press, well, I finally sucked it up and turned it on (although I *might* have made my husband come up to my craft room and hang out in there while I used it).

I do have a reason to be scared of it, I’m terrified of fire and since this device both heats up, and draws a lot of current, there are many different ways which it could catch on fire. Plus I read some people who had it “smoke off” on first use so I had a few reasons to be apprehensive. Now that I’ve used it once, he won’t have to come hang out in the room while I use it.

I did still utilize my iron a little bit for this project. Since the flour sack towels have so many natural creases, I wanted to smooth them out a bit before pressing the actual decal. I really like using an ironing mat because I can iron on my desk and don’t have to store a separate ironing board. Plus, since the only time that I use my iron is for craft projects, its fine that it lives in there.

I’ve now added this towel to my fall towel rotation (along with a couple more that you will see on the blog next week or so). It is definitely a fun addition to add a bit of fall to my kitchen decor.
