Mornings are rough, especially as the days get shorter and the sun is still below the horizon when the alarm goes off. I tend to hit snooze (sometimes more than I should) as I squeeze out the last few minutes of sleep from the night. This gradual emerging from bed creates a domino effect as I then have to rush to get ready for the rest of the day and run out the door to catch the train for work (so far, only once did I cut it too close and have to catch a later train). Since I’m always in a hurry in the mornings, I need a delicious breakfast that can be enjoyed on the go, or once I arrive at work.
I’ve shared that one way that I enjoy breakfast on the go is with my Sous Vide Egg Bites; however, I don’t always have them made, and sometimes I want a change of pace to my meals. Another great way to start the day is with some delicious Pepperidge Farm Swirl Oatmeal bread; there are currently two flavors – Apple Cinnamon, and Maple & Brown Sugar. I don’t actually have a toaster at home (I know, right?), but we have one at work so I can easily keep a loaf of this bread, and a few toppings in the fridge at work for my morning breakfasts. Since it is a good source of fiber and made with whole grains, I know that it is a great part of a complete breakfast.
