After making the Scrabble Alphabet Book I was thinking of other ways to use the Scrabble Font. Today’s project is an update to the classic Alphabet Magnets. This project could also use real tiles; however, making your own allows for personalization and plus you can make a more balanced alphabet (each Scrabble game only has one J & K)!
I made a black and white printable using the Tilez font. Click on the image to download the PDF.
There are two options for this craft. Both of them combine magnet and paper; however, the type of magnet is optional.
The first option is to use a magnet roll. For this one, print the scrabble letters onto cardstock and then cut them out individually. Cut a piece of magnet roughly 1/2″ long and attach it to each tile.
The second option is to use a magnet sheet. To use this, print the scrabble letters onto cardstock, attach the paper to the magnet sheet and then cut the tiles out.
By making your own magnets, you could color the vowels or letters of a name a separate color. I had some a magnet roll laying around the house so I went with that option; however, the magnet sheet would be a heavier duty option for kids.

Great idea and would be so easy to do! Would be great way for kids to practice spelling words too

Hi, I wanted to make these but without the box around the letter/number. Do you by chance have a download of the PDF without the boxes. Let me know. Thanks!
