Do you love wine? Do you love bringing wine to friends’ homes? If you answered yes to either of these questions, I have the perfect craft project for you today! I’m always a little worried when I put a couple bottles of wine in a tote because they clank together and I don’t want them to break. Today’s craft project solves the clanking together and also is adorable!
DIY Double Wine Bottle Tote Bag
Materials:
First, I sewed a straight line down the center of the bag, starting about 1 inch from the top and stopping about 1 inch from the bottom.
Next, I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo. In the Silhouette Design Studio, I added some wine names to a couple wine bottle shapes. I love glitter heat transfer vinyl because it weeds so easily. I saved each of the letters because I might think of another project to use them later. I spaced each bottle evenly on its “half” of the bag and then ironed the glitter vinyl onto the tote. It took about 30 seconds of medium pressure on high heat.
Each bottle of wine fits nicely into its own little pocket and they are protected from each other!
I am planning on making a bunch more of these bags this year – for Christmas gifts and also to sell at Christmas craft fairs. I’ll definitely be mixing it up with some other favorite wine varieties.
I bought these bags in both black and white so I plan on playing around mixing and matching the different colors of glitter heat transfer vinyl that I have with the different tote bags. Which wine varieties would you want on your wine tote?
