Over the past few years, I’ve learned the importance of the evening wind-down. Our days get full of work and activities that leads to stressful evenings and possibly sleepless nights. I’ve found that my brain needs time to decompress, and allow it to focus on something completely different before I can really go to sleep. Even on days when work is crazy and I don’t get home until midnight, I need this bit of time; otherwise, I lay in bed wide-awake thinking about the day.
- Get Comfy. Bring on those yoga pants and sweatshirts! Fortunately, I’m able to wear pretty comfortable clothes to work, but on days when I’m a little bit more dressed up, I love getting home and throwing on some comfortable clothes. Also, make your “spot” full of comfy blankets, soft pillows, and channel your inner Sheldon to claim it as your own each evening.
- Let Your Brain Relax. For me, this can be as simple as a change in whatever I was previously doing. Some nights I want to sit in front of the TV for a show or two, others I will work on blog posts, and sometimes my evening wind-downs consist of doing a couple craft projects or reading the newest book in my library.
- Have a Snack. A little snack can be a great way to help you wind down for the night. Many times I find myself craving something a little crunchy and tasty in the evenings, so some GOOD THiNS are the perfect snack for me.
I absolutely LOVE these spinach & garlic potato GOOD THiNS. They are so delicious and great for my evening snacking as they are created without artificial flavors, colors, or cholesterol. They provide lots of flavor in each little crisp and I know that they start with real ingredients. Plus they are dairy-free so Brad can enjoy them as well!
Just look at all the flavors baked onto this crispy deliciousness!
Ready to learn more about GOOD THiNS and add them to your evening wind-down process? Kids are honest in a way that adults rarely are. They’re also difficult to please, which is why they make great go-to food critics. They can also benefit from an evening wind-down schedule. Make sure to check out this video and let me know which flavor you add to your pantry!
