Watermelon & Blackberry Summer Slushie

Watermelon and Blackberries are delicious flavors of summer. One great way to enjoy these flavors is through a great cocktail (or mocktail) while sitting outside in the sunshine and warmth of summer. We’ve been kicking off summer over the past few weekends by sitting around campfires with friends. So many great memories are made around these campfires, and other summer events. Since we’re still a bit early into the summer, I used frozen blackberries from last summer in this recipe; however, either frozen or fresh can be used.

Watermelon & Blackberry Summer Slushie

This summer slushie is absolutely delicious. It features watermelon, blackberries, and can easily be made into either a cocktail or a mocktail.

Serves: 8

Ingredients

4 Cups Chopped Watermelon
2 Cups Frozen Blackberries
1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup
2 Ounces Orange Liqueur (Optional)
8 Ounces Rum (Optional)
8 Ounces Orange Juice (If making Mocktail Version)
4 Cups Ice

Instructions

In a strong blender, blend together the watermelon, blackberries, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Add in the liqueur/rum or Orange Juice
Add in the Ice
Blend to desired consistency.
Garnish with blackberries or watermelon slice

Watermelon and Blackberry Summer Slushie
