If you’re like me, the cabinet under the sink is a catch-all full of half-empty bottles and miscellaneous items. Part of the problem with organizing under the sink is the plumbing that prevents shelves going all the way across. So much vertical space is wasted because the only floor space is the bottom of the cabinet.
In addition to many different cleaning products, I had quite a few items that no longer belonged in this cabinet – such as the toothpaste and hairbrush from when I wasn’t able to get upstairs for 2 months in 2012. Below is a photo of everything out of the cabinet and out on the counter. So many random items. Who knew I had four boxes of Kleenex (plus, why have I been using paper towels for the past couple months?).
I found an amazing product that helped organize this mess. The Madesmart Expandable Under Sink Organizer solves the plumbing issue because the shelves are modular in the sense that holes can be placed wherever they are needed. If I wanted one of the tall bottles to sit on the lower shelf; I could also remove the shelf module right above it so that it would fit.
The “after” photo above shows the modular aspect of this shelf. the white space shows where the shelves are located and the black is where there is no shelf. This shelf allows the entire space under the sink to be organized by giving many different vertical layers. I currently have three of these shelves for under the sink organization. I have one other bathroom cabinet; however, that cabinet holds a giant bag of cat food so I don’t need one of these in there yet.
Can you think of a cabinet that this shelf would be useful? How do you organize the cabinet under the sink? Let me know in the comments!

I’ve put it in 3 different cabinets so far. I love how adjustable it is.
