Today is the final installment of the Guest Room Reveal (See Part 1 and Part 2).  I have said multiple times that I wanted this room to be inspired by the Caribbean. One thing that I wanted to incorporate into the room is a poster that Brad and I picked up in Key West.

A bit of backstory: in 2011, Brad and I were all packed up and headed to Aruba. We flew out to Orlando and spent a few days before going back to the airport to head south. At the airport, we found out that Brad’s passport had expired 6 months prior and we were no longer able to get on the plane to Aruba. Instead, our flights were changed and we were off to Key West. The week in Key West was an unexpected adventure and I fell in love with this photographer’s work. His photos were all over our hotel and the colors were so bright and amazing.

I made the valance Sunday evening with some turquoise fabric because I couldn’t find anything in the right color while out shopping.
