It is no surprise that I love my coffee. Since today is National Coffee Day and we’re still in National Bourbon History Month, I decided to combine these two items with another favorite of mine for today’s recipe – chocolate!
Bourbon Mocha Milkshake
This milkshake is perfect for fall, plus what’s not to love when you mix coffee, chocolate and a little kick! Enjoy it while watching the leaves change and the air gets crisper.
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 2 Ounces bourbon
- 2 Ounces Coffee
- 2 Tablespoon Chocolate Sauce
- Blend all the ingredients until well combined
- Pour a little chocolate sauce around the sides of a glass
- Pour in the milkshake
- Top with whipping cream and enjoy!
This milkshake was absolutely delicious and great to enjoy while watching some football (and dominate my fantasy football league – go me for getting high score for the week!). The bourbon mixed with chocolate really give the milkshake a taste of fall as it had a bit of a more intense and deeper flavor than my usual fruity drinks.
Do you have a favorite beverage to enjoy during the fall? How are you celebrating National Coffee Day and National Bourbon Heritage Month?
