Who’s ready for some basketball? Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been watching all the games here at home (and even some streaming on our phones). Today I’m sharing a delicious recipe with Cheez-Its that would be perfect while watching these last few games and crowning a champion – Cheez-It Chicken Strips!

We are having some friends over to watch the final basketball game, but I wanted to test out this recipe first to make sure that it was actually as good as it sounded – and it definitely is!
Cheez-It Crusted Chicken Strips
- 1.5 pounds Chicken Breast (1 package)
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon water
- 1 box Cheez-It Grooves, crushed
- Preheat the oven to 425F
- Slice the chicken breasts into strips (I found some pre-cut which was convenient)
- In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, egg mixed with water in the second, and crushed Cheez-Its in a third
- Cover the strip in flour
- Transfer the strip to the egg mixture and coat it thoroughly
- Transfer the strip to the crushed Cheez-Its then place on a foil lined cookie sheets.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping once.
These Cheez-It grooves were perfect for this dish because they were essentially pre-seasoned. I used the Zesty Cheddar Ranch flavored ones which were absolutely delicious. I might have snacked on a few while I was making dinner.
I kept the dipping sauces simple and went with ketchup and BBQ sauce.
I headed to Target to pick up the ingredients for this meal. I love Target and right now they have Cheez-Its on their Cartwheel app! Cheez-Its are on sale for 3/$8 plus with this app, save an additional 35% if you buy 3! You can find these Cheez-Its with all the other crackers.
Right now (through April 201) you can vote on your favorite flavors/varieties from six popular Cheez-It flavors and play games for a chance to win $10,000. Learn more about the Most Valuable Cheese.
