Pip and Princess get the majority of the pet spoiling; but sometimes it is fun to create something that is just for the cats. Pixel and Pico have been with us for 7 years and definitely add quite a bit of entertainment to our lives. Today’s post is a fun way to spoil your cats.

DIY Felted Catnip Ball Toys

Materials:

• 100% Wool Yarn
• 1/2 inch bells
• Pantyhose
• Catnip

First, wrap the yarn around a bell and create a ball slightly larger than a golf ball.

Next, put the balls into the leg of the pantyhose and tie knots on each side to create a pocket. Put them through the washer using hot water and also run them through the dryer. Cut the balls out of the pantyhose and they will be felted.

Once the balls are created, they need to be catniptized! Put the balls into a ziploc bag with about 1 Tablespoon of catnip.

I gave these balls to Pixel and Pico and they absolutely loved the balls. Before I could even get them onto the floor they were running to me in order to get to these balls.
