For the first weekend of summer, Seattle decided to give us an AMAZING weekend (actually, if you ask Seattle natives we will probably all tell you it was a little too hot). This hot weekend was even more of a reason to get out on the water and cool off by jumping in.

We headed out for our boating adventure from Gene Coulon Park in Renton. You can see that there are lots of people who had the same idea as us to escape the heat and spend some time on the water.

Lake Washington is so unique – where else can you check out the Boeing factory and see some planes that will soon be heading out to airports around the world. Plus, the park is gorgeous for some land excursions before or after the boat.

Playing on Lake Washington for the afternoon was so exciting. It brought back memories of when Brad and I used to go crabbing with friends out in the Sound on a sail boat. This will definitely not be the last time we head out on the water – especially as more of our friends get their own boats and we can join in on the fun.
