Pip loves to dress up (at 6 pounds there isn’t much keeping him warm) so Halloween is a fun time to try out different costumes and outfits. This year, I decided to throw an Online Halloween Dog Costume contest with a few of his doggy friends. I originally wanted to do it all together; however, getting the schedules of the human companions to line up didn’t quite work.
Every contest needs some prizes so I headed to my local Fred Meyer for some delicious treats. I opted for some Pup-Peroni and Milo’s Kitchen snacks; they are sure to please any pup. These treats will be perfect for the winning canine!
While I was at it, I also made up a few treat bags for any dogs that come trick-or-treating in a couple weeks. If they are going to be walking the trick-or-treating route with their human companions then they deserve treats too!
Have you decided what alter ego your canine friend will be this year? Kroger Branded Stores are featuring a website devoted to finding your dog’s Halloween personality and also offering some coupons on delicious Halloween Treats for them.
According to the Trick Or Treat Em site, both Pip & Princess were “sweeties” which is pretty accurate. They both love their snuggles and like pretty much anybody. I created a fun photo of Princess on the website as well. There are three different frames to pick from and it can be saved off for printing or sharing.
The Trick Or Treat Em site also features digital coupons that you can add to you Kroger-affiliated card. I might need to make some more trick-or-treat doggy bags before Halloween so these coupons will definitely help me save on them.
Now it is time for the Simply {Darr}ling Halloween Dog Costume Contest! Below are all of the entries, vote for your favorite in the comments.
I picked up Pip and Princess jerseys so that they could be players for a couple of our favorite teams this year for Halloween. This works well for them since the headgear that comes with most costumes don’t fit on their tiny heads.
Pip and Princess definitely think they are big and strong so football players are great alter egos for them this Halloween.
Pip is so adorable in his Seahawks jersey. Maybe he should be the official “12th Dog”!
Princess can aspire to be a Husky in her Jersey. Seriously, how can you say no to this face when it asks for treats?
Which pooch is your favorite: Princess the UW Husky Player, Pip the Seahawk, Ella the Ladybug, Baxter the Bumble Bee, Payson the Turtle or Piper the Turtle? Let me know so I can give the winning dog their delicious dog treat prize!

They’re all adorable, but I think Baxter the bee is just the cutest! Getting dogs to wear costumes is so much easier with great treats! #Client
