This week I’ve been getting my home ready for the holidays. Brad and I are hosting Thanksgiving then my home becomes a winter wonderland as we get ready for Christmas. I’m looking forward to hosting people throughout the holiday season (including a cookie exchange party that should be lots of fun).
There are two things that are integral to a fun holiday party – delicious dessert, and delicious wine. Today, I’m sharing both of these with you.
Individual Peppermint Chocolate Pudding Dessert
Individual desserts are great for parties because they can simply be grabbed by a party goer to enjoy without the mess of serving it up.
- 2 cups milk
- 1 small package of instant chocolate pudding
- ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
- Whipped Cream & Mini Candy Cane for Garnish
- Whisk milk, pudding mix, and peppermint extract per pudding directions
- Pour into individual glasses
- Top with Whipped Cream & Candy Cane when ready to serve
The peppermint and chocolate flavors are perfect together. I even found some peppermint flavored whipped cream which was the perfect topping to this dessert.
Every good dessert and party also needs some delicious wine. Wente Vineyards features a variety of wines which are perfect for your parties this holiday season. I picked up some Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvingnon for Thanksgiving and they will go great with this delicious dessert. I’ve tried a couple of their wines in the past and was definitely a fan so I will be happy to serve them with our holiday meal. I’m not the only one who is a fan of these wines, the 2014 vintage of the Wente Vineyards Morning Fog Chardonnay scored an awesome 90 points from Wine Enthusiast!
How are you celebrating the holidays this year?
