This past weekend we had some friends over to celebrate Friendsgiving. Brad and I picked out a Turduckin to serve and we had so much fun hanging out with friends (plus watching a pretty good Seahawks win over the 49ers).
Each person signed up to bring part of a traditional thanksgiving meal – we had twice baked potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce and lots of other delicious items. We even joked about who was going to be the odd family member who started a huge argument and ruined Thanksgiving (fortunately, that part was all a joke and we spent the afternoon laughing and enjoying each others company).
No party is complete without delicious appetizers. One item that we served were Mezzetta olives and they were definitely a hit. There are so many different flavor options. The blue cheese stuffed olives were one of the favorites at the party.
I had never seen olives with orange zest before!
