At the end of June some friends got together for dinner and drinks. The bar we went to had offered a cocktail which included rhubarb vodka and it was delicious! After that meal I was determined to make my own rhubarb vodka.
I started my batch over the 4th of July weekend with rhubarb from my own garden. I cannot wait to try it out in some wonderful cocktails.
DIY Rhubarb Infused Vodka
Ingredients:
- 1 quart Vodka – it doesn’t need to be top shelf but don’t use something too cheap either
- 1-2 stalks Rhubarb
- 1/2 cup sugar
Directions:
- Combine ingredients in a quart jar ad place in a cool place
- Shake every once in a while (if you remember)
- After about a month it is ready for use! Keeping the rhubarb in the vodka longer than this simply makes it stronger.
Over the next few weeks I’m going to share various recipes I create using this vodka. Have you ever infused your own vodka? Let me know what you did and how it turned out!
