Last week I headed down to Portland for the day to attend a blogger event. Of course this drive is always more fun in somebody else’s car so I was excited when I was offered the chance to try out the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer. I even won an Elmo toy from Hasbro and wanted to make sure he made it back to Seattle safe!
First of all, the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer is definitely a snazzy looking vehicle. I loved the red color (definitely something different than the grey/silver that I always go for)!
The dashboard contained lots of information as well and the center screen could shift through various options. When I hit 40 miles to empty it started flashing, alerting me that I really shouldn’t try to go those 20 more miles before stopping for gas. Yes, I’m one of those people who avoid filling up and will let it get to 10-20 miles to empty before telling Brad that I need him to go fill up the tank (I know that I’m lucky having a husband who always makes sure my gas take is full for me).
The center console had more information than just the standard GPS, Radio and Phone. It also had a calendar and local weather forecast.
The GPS definitely came in handy. Even though I’ve now been to Portland 4 times in the past 7 months they have each been at a different location so is convenient to set the GPS when I leave home and know that it will automatically get me to my destination. I also like having the estimated arrival time so I have an idea whether or not I’m making good time and will arrive on time.
For those people who like more control over their transmission, there are paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The automatic transmission was definitely smooth and I always felt like I had a good amount of power while accelerating onto the freeway.
One feature of the Mitsubishi Lancer that I definitely enjoyed on this trip was the Rockford Fosgate speakers (paired with the awesome satellite radio). I put all my favorite stations into the preset list before I left so I could flip through them with the touch of a button on the steering wheel and then rocked out to my favorite songs along my drive.
This trunk also fit lots of shopping bags which is always a plus :)
I definitely had fun driving the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer. It was a great car for this mini road trip and also for my daily commute to work.
